Air Foaming

Cenefom is one of the few companies globally that produces high-quality air-foamed PVA foam. This foam features a 100% interconnected pores structure with adjustable porosity and softness. Following ultra-clean treatment, it outperforms starch-based foams in terms of cleanliness, flow control, and biocompatibility, making it a superior alternative to most cotton products in medical use.

Several Cenefom’s medical products are CE and FDA-approved and are sold in numerous countries worldwide. More recently, we have extended this technology to applications such as semiconductor wafer cleaning and wastewater treatment.

PVA air foaming has high application value and involves significant technical barriers.

  • Air foaming features a 100% interconnected pore structure, offering superior safety, water absorption, softness, cleanliness, and fluid control compared to traditional starch-based foaming.

  • Traditional starch-based PVA foaming methods struggle to remove all starch, leading to high bacterial growth risk and ongoing release of starch during use.

Micro-Contamination Control

With over 30 years of experience in ultra-clean best practices, Cenefom has developed proprietary air-foaming equipment, facilities, processes, high-grade cleanrooms, and unparalleled micro-contamination control and management systems. As a result, our products exhibit significantly lower levels of formaldehyde, bacteria, endotoxins, particulates, and other chemical residues compared to industry standards.

Flow Control

Cenefom’s air-foaming technology produces PVA foam that can be tailored to specific application requirements by modifying properties such as pore size, structure, hydrophilicity, and surface treatment. This optimizes the foam's fluid control characteristics, including water absorption, drainage, and flow rectification capabilities.
